Our Story

International Professional Services is a unique well established chartered accounting firm on the Gold Coast since 1993. We have a range of specialised accounting, business and wealth creation services in one convenient location.

International Professional Services was founded by John Illingworth the Managing Director of the IPS Group of entities. Within a 12 month period John who started the business from his home in Mudgeeraba in 1993, moved to the offices of Australia Fair, Southport. Since then the business has grown from initially himself and one other accountant to over 30 specialised multi skilled staff with dedicated teams of Auditors, Financial Planners and Superannuation Specialist AdvisorsTM. In recent years John has been joined by co-directors Craig Tschirpig, David Sidhu, Cameron Reed (IPS Superannuation) and Roger Stannard (IPS Financial Services).

Over the years IPS has recognised a need for a comprehensive approach to business and life planning. For accountants to offer the best client solutions they need to obtain an overall picture of the client's financial affairs and goals. Most clients engage a number of different firms to manage their various affairs i.e. financial planner, superannuation adviser, accountant, bookkeeper etc. At times this can create issues especially regarding structuring and client strategies, as not all advisers are equal in their knowledge or experience. It is very important to have open communication between all advisers. The directors of IPS identified this and in turn the IPS group of entities was born. IPS Group includes; International Professional Services Chartered Accountants, IPS Audit, IPS Superannuation, IPS Financial Services. Our family of companies allows us to offer a holistic approach to helping achieve our clients' personal and business goals.

IPS is committed to ongoing staff training and qualifications. The majority of the advisers at IPS are multi skilled meaning they hold qualifications as chartered accountants, financial planners and (Self Managed Superannuation Fund) SMSF Specialist AdvisorsTM. This contributes to our 'think outside the square approach' to giving the best client solutions.
