Cameron first joined International Professional Services in 2006, after working with a large all services Brisbane based firm, to lead the Self-Managed Super Fund division. Cameron’s proven knowledge and experience in this specialised area has since led to his appointment as a Co-Director of the IPS Group of Companies in 2007.
Over the years, Cameron has dedicated himself to the SMSF industry and whilst working with the clients of IPS, he held a committee position with the SMSF Association for 10 years and was elected as the QLD State Chapter Chairman of the same for a period of 3 years. This position led to Cameron being the recipient of the prestigious Chairman’s Award in February 2012 proving his commitment to providing outstanding service to the SMSF Sector as a whole.
Cameron’s key areas of specialisation include structuring of Self-Managed Super Funds, the retirement cycle and tax effective retirement planning, estate planning and family succession planning. Furthermore, Cameron works closely with the clients and in house financial planners to ensure that our client’s investments strategy fits into their overall SMSF structure rather than simply being a stand along portfolio.
Cameron is an ‘out of the box’ thinker and is constantly up to date with the ongoing changes to the legislation to ensure that our clients are always receiving the best advice possible. This dedication has, over the years, enabled him to provide specialised SMSF advice to Accountants, Financial Planners and Lawyers who have struggled with this much specialised industry as a whole.
As a Director, Cameron leads by example in relation to providing high quality work and building meaningful relationships with existing and new clients. Cameron believes in maintaining professionalism and pushing not only himself but the staff around him to do the same.
