Kim joined International Professional Services in April 2016 as the new Practice Manager for the firm. With over 20 years of experience in the accounting, insolvency and finance industries combined, including 12 years with her previous employer as the Senior Business Manager for a Brisbane based Chartered Accountant firm, Kim joined IPS to embark on a new challenge and gain a more work/life balance.
In addition to the industry experience, Kim has completed an internationally recognised Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance with the Governance Institute of Australia Ltd and is recognised as a Chartered Secretary trained in the areas of Corporations Law, finance, governance, risk management, company secretaryship and management. Kim’s experience has included assisting clients with independent advice about the conduct of their business, ongoing governance and compliance requirements, risk assessment and the implementation of risk mitigating policies and procedures and assisting with both domestic and international structuring in accordance with client’s needs.
Kim’s experience and academic history have driven her not only into the areas detailed above but into other related fields such as HR, employment law and compliance, contract and commercial law, board level liaison, reporting and reviews and general management requirements of a business as a whole. Kim’s passion for this performance based industry and staff wellbeing as a whole has led her to commence her Masters in Business Psychology earlier this year.
Kim not only brings her experience and education to IPS, but a professional leadership and high level management mentality that will continue push the firm and the staff to succeed beyond expectations.
